René Aguilar Dueñas
René Aguilar has over twenty years of experience in seismic data acquisition and field operations including over ten years as a consulting operations supervisor, field project manager, quality control specialist and geophysical acquisition engineer for numerous clients. He is known for his expertise and dedication to ensuring that clients obtain the best quality seismic data possible in a safe and cost-effective manner. His goals are to ensure that clients geophysical field operations are carried out in an efficient manner with high standards for technical quality, environmental and safety compliance.
Renés diverse experience includes land, marine and transition zone seismic acquisition work. Onshore, this experience includes mountainous, rain forest, desert, savannah, rural and urban terrains with both Vibroseis and explosive source seismic crews. Renés project management skills have proved invaluable in complex heli-portable, rain forest, thrustbelt operations. He has worked in nearly every country in South America as well as Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Cameroon. Technically, René is familiar with nearly every major acquisition and vibrator control system produced in the last twenty years. Prior to working as a consultant, René worked twelve years for Geophysical Services Inc. (GSI)/Halliburton Geophysical Services Inc. as a seismic crew Observer, Party Manager, and Quality Control supervisor. Prior to GSI, René worked as an instrument engineer and then crew supervisor for ENAP, the national oil company of Chile.
René has a degree in Electronics Engineering from the Universidad Católica in Valparaiso, Chile. He speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese and basic Russian.
