EDUARDO (ED) GONZALES

Eduardo Gonzales has over twenty years of experience in oil and gas exploration, production and exploitation as a petroleum geoscientist. He has worked in domestic and international areas with major and independents companies, as a consultant and as an independent geoscientist. Over his career, he has been involved in different aspects of the oil and gas industry including prospect generation and evaluation, property acquisitions, reserve evaluation, marketing and sales of prospects, project management, wellsite supervision, seismic interpretation, presentations, governmental assignments, budgeting and other areas at levels ranging from  regional studies to specific prospect ideas.  He has worked with a diversity of industry professionals including drilling, reservoir, production, geology, geophysics, land, government and other disciplines, giving him a broad understanding of the industry. Ed is registered in Texas as a Professional Geoscientist (Geology) and is a Certified Petroleum Geologist (#3454) by the American Association of Petroleum Geology (AAPG).

His areas of experience include the Midland Basin, Delaware Basin, Val Verde Basin, Central Basin Platform, Northwest Shelf of Texas and New Mexico, Tucumcari Basin, Anadarko Basin, Central Oklahoma, Kansas, Southern California, Eastern Shelf of Texas, Texas Gulf Coast, East Texas Basin, Rocky Mountains, Arkoma Basin, Northern Mexico and Venezuela. He has worked a variety of plays including structural, stratigraphic, carbonates, clastics, fractured shales and coal bed methane applying subsurface, 2-D and 3-D seismic, geochemistry, new drilling wells, reentries and workovers.  He has worked for major companies such as Texaco, Tenneco, Diamond Shamrock/Maxus and Repsol-YPF. He has been directly involved with numerous prospects targeting Yates, San Andres, Glorieta, Clearfork, Abo, Wolfcamp, Strawn, Atoka, Morrow, Mississippian, Barnett, Siluro-Devonian/Hunton, Simpson, and Ellenburger/Arbuckle in Texas and Oklahoma, the Cretaceous of  Venezuela and other projects.

Ed holds a B.S (1978) and an M.S (1980) degree in geology from Texas Tech University.  He has extensive training and continuing education through industry courses sponsored by AAPG, SEG, SPE, SEPM and local geological societies. He is a member of AAPG, the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists (#2903), the Dallas Geological Society, the West Texas Geological Society and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).  He has also served as an officer of the Dallas Geological Society.
