William C. (Clif) Hunt III
Clif Hunt is a results-oriented reservoir engineer with extensive international and U.S. domestic experience and knowledge over a wide range of skill sets. His most effective skills come in formation evaluation, especially in integrating geoscience input into the design, planning, operations and analysis of well tests. He was involved in almost all of the important discovery/appraisal wells for Mobil Oil Corp. from 1995-2000. This work included the evaluation wells for the giant North Field in Qatar (an approximately US$4Bn project). There, he took the lead in developing financial and technical tendering materials, evaluation of the best vendors for the work, development of the entire test procedure (including state of the art fluids sampling for condensate), conducted the tests on-site and performed the final analysis and reports. Other areas include the Lavrans discovery well in the Norwegian North Sea and several large discoveries in South America.
Other areas that Clif has been involved in include: Well stimulation research and field testing, advanced gravel packing techniques, economic analysis/field appraisals, and heavy oil research and field testing. Clif has helped conduct training courses in reservoir engineering, well test planning and analysis, formation evaluation, heavy oil engineering and inflow/upflow analysis for hundreds of technical professionals from Mobil, ARAMCO, NNPC, DPR and many other Mobil partners. Clif joined Mobil after obtaining a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1979.
